Our Story

STUDIO MISHOU LLC is a full-service design studio that offers a unique ability to take dreams and make them into reality- in any material and any scale. With 20+ years of expertise, we specialize in new custom homes, additions and renovations, commercial and retail spaces, as well as interior design and sculpture. Our ability to deliver projects that compete at the highest level is only achieved by working with the top artisans and combined with our stellar design credentials that deliver robust end results.

At the core, STUDIO MISHOU is a design and fabrication company with a focus on collaboration to minimize risk, delivery schedule and cost. With years of experience in the real estate market, we acknowledge the demand of a heightened level of sophistication in the residential and retail markets making the value of expert design and its construction clearly apparent.

Our goal centers on developing long term client relationships and positive experiences. We believe that people should surround themselves with beautiful things that function beautifully and that living and working should be art.

Mishou Sanchez, Owner

Mishou Sanchez is a Tampa native with over 20 years of experience in design, construction and art. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Ringling College of Art and Design and a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture. She has been a 2-time Guggenheim Grant finalist, developed a life-saving permaculture system for refugees in Darfur, Sudan, and has done design work in the homes of Michael Jackson, Lenny Kravitz, and Cindy Crawford. She is the designer of Tampa Mercado, a retail complex for small business incubators using shipping containers. She is an active artist with international clients and collectors from around the world. Her online art portfolio can be see HERE

While living in California, Mishou was also the Creative Director and Production Manager for one of LA’s top contemporary Pop Art fabrication studios,  Pretty In Plastic. For 2+ years she was responsible for designing and executing high-profile industry projects from start to finish. These projects went to museums, galleries and blue chip art collectors. She was responsible for developing the design and fabrication plan, calculating costs and timelines, and assembling and managing the team. In this capacity, she further developed her working knowledge and expertise in previously unexplored areas such as sculpture and materials. Her clients included ABC Disney, United Nations, Spotify, LA2028, Final Fantasy, FX Networks, Mark Mothersbaugh (DEVO,) Lyle Owerko, Brian Viveros, and TedX
